Sign-in and preferences

The watchtower cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. Theme and cookie-notice preferences are stored locally in your browser. You can clear them in browser settings; signing out removes your sign-in cookie.

Your watchlist

If you set a password, we store a salted scrypt hash, never the password itself. We store your email, tracked product URLs, region, target prices and observed price history to provide tracking and alerts. Only snapshots you explicitly publish and your display name appear publicly.

Newsletter signup is optional and requires email confirmation. We store your email and subscription status separately from your watchlist. The unsubscribe link removes you from the newsletter without changing your account.

External services and links

Watchtower uses Neon for storage, Resend for email, Groq for AI, Tavily or Google for search, and Vercel for hosting. Product information and region are sent to AI/search services to provide their features. External links carry Watchtower UTM attribution without your email or account ID. We do not install advertising or analytics cookies; linked sites have their own policies.
